AKT
is inspired by archived recordings and personal musical documents. The
musicians featured in these works have sometimes saved moments of working
together, creating a magnetic treasure-trove of recordings which may
not be technically perfect but nevertheless capture essential moments
in their development. These recordings are now being brought out of
the darkness of past time. They have not been selected primarily because
of the audio quality. Often captured with whatever equipment was to
hand, these albums feature rare moments of musical creativity. A memorable
concert, a moment of madness in the studio, the magic of a place or
the magical interaction between people, these indispensable pieces of
history are now emerging into the light of day.
