Simon Goubert, drummer, pianist, and composer, is an exceptionnal musician, respected by his fellow players, recognised by the press and even more important, by the French Jazz Authorities which awarded him the Django Reinhardt prize in december 1996.
This new CD has taken over a year to be released because Simon wanted to let the quintet to play these new compositions, to understand them and thus to bring out their inner qualities. Listening to the album confirms just what a wise decision this has been : theband is a perfect groove machine !
