This third album finds Simon GOUBERT leading a well-balanced quintet graced by the presence of Arrigo LORENZI, his long-time collaborator. In a suite of compositions reminiscent of McCoy Tyner we find jazz played in a powerful and unrestrained, jubilant style propelled by driving, insurgent drumming. L�ENCIERRO celebrates once more the joy of playing music in the tradition originated by the great Coltrane and carried on by a family of French musicians who treat this privilege with great passion.
